What are classes like?
Class Flow:
Before class starts, students will gather around the door or studio to chat and catch up with friends. Everyone who takes classes is friendly and welcoming, if you want to join in, just ask what their favourite groups are. If you want some quiet time before class, no worries, no one will bother you until you’re ready.
We start class with a stretch and a warm up. This can be done by Orna or one of our teaching assistants Tessa and Ellen. Once we call for a stretch, find yourself a space and follow along. The warm up will be a series of basic K-Pop moves to get your body used to the shapes it will make while dancing. The moves are easy to follow and will be explained as we go along.
After the warm up we get into the choreography for the day. This is all taught step by step and at slow speeds so that everyone can follow along. Once we have finished covering the section for that class, we will speed it up bit by bit to the music. Some students like to record themselves at this part, but you don’t have to. We try to keep a space in the room camera free for those who don’t want to be recorded in others videos.
Class Atmosphere:
The class atmosphere is quite relaxed and interactive, with moments of chat and silliness back and forth as we learn. Questions at any point are also very much encouraged.
